Sloan St Community Garden Moving Workday
Sat Dec 8th @ 12noon
Join Us!!!

On Saturday Dec 8th at 12:00 noon, Sloan St Community Garden will be moving all of our beds, perrenials and field stone to the property next door.
After roughly 10 years of existence, the developer who bought the property out from under us in a sheriff’s sale has given us a letter to vacate by Dec 15th and luckily the owner of the adjacent property has agreed to let us move in! In order to salvage what we have created, we need YOUR HELP.
Please lend a hand, if you can…
E-mail sloanstcommunitygarden@gmail.com if you have questions or to confirm your attendance, or just show up!img_5296OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

We grow and donate food to local food cupboards through the PHS City Harvest program

Our new and returning members this year have grown a myriad of flowering and fruiting plants and vines. The garden is looking lush and there is fruit a plenty!

We must thank Gary and Jim from Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for donating the use of 1/2 the garden land and water access. We must thank Natalie and Haley and the Greater St Paul United Church (Haverford Ave) for expanding the land we toil. We must thank Preston’s Paradise for assisting us in our expansion and preparation for our possible move in November (from the total land we work to the 1/2 that Penn Presby owns).

As always… explore our website, and e-mail sloanstcommunitygarden@gmail.com with any questions or interests.
