After weeks of  drizzle, thunder and general sogginess, we made it into the garden to gather produce for City Harvest  today. The plants were thriving and offered up some wonderful veggies and herbs: arugula, four varieties of beans, sugar snap peas, a few beets, swiss chard, two boxes of kale and collards, basil, thyme, oregano, parsley, rosemary and sage. Thanks to all the gardeners for planting, weeding and maintaining the plot and containers! Caroline G. took 4 boxes to the food pantry this morning (Click to enlarge photos).

Still to come: carrots, acorn squash, tomatoes, more beans, more herbs, etc.
